Dealing with Difficult Clients:
How a Psychologist Can Help a Lawyer

Psychologist and Attorney, Leland Swenson will illustrate how to recognize personality and mood disorders as well as cognitive impairment and what strategies to employ when working with clients suffering from mental disorders. 

Speaker: Leland C. Swenson 
Dr. Leland Swenson has been a Professor of Psychology for over thirty years.  He currently teaches Psychology Courses at Cuesta College and Cal Poly University.  Dr. Swenson is also an attorney.  He worked as a family law attorney in Los Angeles for ten years.  He received his Masters in Experimental Psychology and PhD in Comparative, Learning and Physiological Psychology from Wayne State University as well as a Masters in Marriage Family Child Counseling Psychology from Loyola Marymount University and a Juris Doctorate degree from Loyola Law School.  He has published a wide variety of articles on family law topics and books about Psychology and the Law and Learning Theories.
