August MCLE: Ms.Galente's talk will address the evidentiary issues of authentication and laying proper foundation for admission of social media evidence and other electronic evidence. It will also explore the ethical issues involved in investigating social media evidence.

OUR SPEAKER: Renee Galente
Renee is a trial lawyer and the founding partner of Galente Law, APC where she focuses her practice on plaintiff's personal injury and felony criminal defense in federal, state, and military courts.
Renee currently serves as the President of California Women Lawyers, the Chair-Elect of the California Lawyers Association Solo & Small Firm Section, and sits on the Board of Directors for the San Diego County Bar Association, chairing the new Technology Committee. She serves as a mediator for the Thomas Jefferson School of Law Probate Court Mediation Panel and as an adjunct professor of the Thomas Jefferson School of Law National Trial Competition Team. She has previously served on the Boards for San Diego La Raza Lawyers Association (Past President), San Diego La Raza Lawyers Scholarship Fund, Lawyers Club of San Diego, and Thomas Jefferson School of Law Alumni Association (Past President). She is on the faculty of the Gerry Spence Trial Lawyers College.
Renee graduated magna cum laude from Park University with a B.S. in Marketing and Business Administration in 2004 and magna cum laude from Thomas Jefferson School of Law in 2008.
