May 2025 MCLE: Immigration attorney Amber Heffner will present on the changes in immigration law under the Trump Administration, with a focus on recent executive orders, including the new “Alien Registration Requirement” that went into effect on April 11th.
The Women Lawyers Association of San Luis Obispo is a California State Bar approved MCLE provider. This program qualifies for one (1.0) hour of MCLE - participatory credit.

OUR SPEAKER:
Amber Heffner
Immigration Attorney
Amber Heffner is passionate about immigration law and providing the highest quality legal services to her clients. She has successfully represented hundreds of clients as applicants for lawful permanent residency, asylum, adjustment of status, U Visas, VAWA self-petitioning, deferred action, and naturalization. Ms. Heffner is a Central Coast native and is a 1991 Atascadero High School Graduate. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Peace and Conflict studies from the University of California, Berkeley (1995) and her Juris Doctor from the University of Wisconsin Madison Law School (2003) where she graduated Magna Cum Laude and Order of the Coif. She also has a Master’s Degree in Public Policy from the University of Wisconsin, Madison (2002) where she pursued a dual degree in policy and law. Ms. Heffner returned to the Central Coast in 2012, moving to Los Osos, California. In January 2016, she opened her own immigration law practice in Los Osos. Ms. Heffner enjoys representing clients in a wide range of immigration matters.

Lunches will be provided. Vegetarian options will be available.
All proceeds will go toward the WLA scholarship fund and the other worthy events hosted by the WLA.
